Fibre2fashion – First US factory outlet store for NZ-based Icebreaker

Icebreaker, the New Zealand company that pioneered the outdoor merino wool apparel category, today announced that it will open its first factory outlet store in the world in Woodburn, Oregon by April 1, 2010.

The company, which opened a design center in Portland, Oregon in 2007, moved its U.S. sales and marketing operations to the city and opened its first North American Touch_Lab store there in 2007. Icebreaker’s Touch_Lab store is located on the corner of 11th and West Burnside, across from Powell’s in Portland’s Pearl District.

Portland Business Journal – Icebreaker plans Woodburn store

The New Zealand outdoor apparel company, whose North American headquarters are in Portland, will open the 1,400-square-foot outlet store at Woodburn Company Stores in Woodburn, about 30 miles south of Portland. Woodburn Company Stores features more than 95 upscale outlet stores.
